I want to take my profile
offline for a while. How do I hide my profile?
If you’ve found that special someone or are already swamped with dates, you
might want to take your profile offline and not be included in the member
directory. By changing your status to inactive, your profile will immediately
be hidden from other members but will be saved on the system so that you can
re-post it again later. To go inactive, Change
Posting Options. Please note that if you are an inactive member, you
will be unable to access certain member benefits, such as emailing or receiving
messages, bookmarking profiles and appearing in other members’ searches. The
reason for this is because other members must be able to view your profile if
you show up in searches or if contact is made.
Will I get a refund if I go inactive or cancel my subscription?
While you are in inactive status, membership fees still apply and no refunds
are given for periods of inactivity. Of course, you will still be able to
manage your account and profile, and to re-activate your membership at any
time. If you cancel your subscription, you will not be billed for any future
periods. If you have prepaid a subscription, your subscription will continue
until its expiration date. InstantChem.com does not pro-rate
subscriptions.
What happens when I change to inactive status?
By changing your status to inactive, your profile will be hidden from other
members but will be saved on the system so that you post it again later. To go
inactive, Change Posting Options. Please
note that if you are an inactive member, you will be unable to access certain
member benefits, such as emailing or receiving messages, bookmarking profiles,
receiving member discounts at Social Club events and appearing in other
members’ searches. The reason for this is because other members must be able to
view your profile if you show up in searches or if contact is made. Of course,
you will still be able to manage your account and profile, and to re-activate
your membership at any time.
How can I cancel my subscription?
Basic membership at InstantChem.com is free. If you are a subscriber and want
to cancel your subscription, click here. If
you cancel your subscription, you will not be billed for any future periods. If
you have prepaid a subscription, your subscription will continue until its
expiration date. InstantChem.com does not pro-rate subscriptions. Once your
subscription expires, you will still be a member and your account information
and profile will remain unchanged. If you’d like to hide your profile, switch
your status to inactive on the Change Posting
Options page.

What’s the difference between
HTML email and text email?
HTML (hypertext markup language) emails look very similar to web pages such as
this one. The email is nicely formatted, with graphics, links and special
fonts. Some email services don’t support html (check with your provider). With
plain text emails, you will still receive all the same information; however it
won’t be formatted the same way an HTML email will be.
Can I email a profile to a friend?
Yes. While viewing the member directory, you'll see a link under the picture
that says "Email to a Friend". If you think your friend might find a member
interesting, click that link, fill out the quick form and we'll send a message
to your friend on your behalf with a link to the profile!
What should I do if I find an inappropriate picture or profile?
Members are solely responsible for ensuring that content in their profiles is
appropriate and follows the guidelines. Please contact us
if you find a picture or profile that you think is inappropriate.
InstantChem.com reserves the right to remove or reject photos or profiles at
any time for any reason.
What browsers does InstantChem.com support?
